Everything changed in one day

I knew that our life wouldn’t be the same

I was expected to respect him and do as he wished

it didn’t matter if people were present, he’d find a way

This has proven to be a lonely path

I smiled to cover my sadness

He always told me I would get in trouble

I traveled to other places in my mind

I have reclaimed my body
